Today, we’re doing something super cool and useful — we’re going to make our own DIY paper bag! 🛍️ It’s a fun craft project AND it helps save the planet by reducing plastic. Let’s go green together! 🌱
📦 Why Make a Paper Bag?
Plastic bags harm animals and pollute our Earth. But paper bags are eco-friendly and recyclable! Plus, when you make your own, you can design it however you want — with drawings, stickers, or even glitter! 😍
Let’s turn some paper into a useful, handmade bag! 🎉
✂️ What You’ll Need:
- 1 sheet of thick paper or craft paper (A4 or square)
- Glue or double-sided tape
- Scissors ✂️
- A ruler
- Pencil
- String or ribbon (for handles)
- Colors, stickers, or markers to decorate 🎨
🧵 Steps to Make Your DIY Paper Bag:
Step 1: Fold the Paper
Fold the paper from left to right, leaving a small flap on the edge. This flap will help us glue the sides.
Step 2: Stick the Sides
Use glue or tape to stick the flap to the other side, creating a tube shape.
Step 3: Make the Bottom
Fold the bottom edge up (about 2 inches), open it, and flatten the corners to form two triangles — like a diamond shape.
Now fold the top and bottom of that diamond inward and glue them. Ta-da! That’s your bag’s bottom! 🛍️
Step 4: Add Handles
Punch two small holes on each side of the top. Tie string or ribbon through each to make handles. You can even braid yarn or use paper strips!
Step 5: Decorate It!
Now for the fun part — decorate your paper bag however you like! Draw flowers, rainbows, your name, or add stickers and glitter. 🌈✨
