Namaste, budget bosses and alphabet adventurers! 😎
Pari here, and today I decided to make shopping even more difficult (and hilarious) than trying to eat pani puri without making a mess. 🤭
So here’s the challenge I gave myself:
🏁 The Rules:
- I get only ₹1000 to spend.
- I can ONLY buy things that start with the letter P.
- No cheating. No skipping to Q. Not even one innocent ‘C’ for “chocolate” (my heart cried a little). 💔
- Everything must be useful, fun, or fabulously random.
Are you ready to see how I did? Let’s roll! 🛒💨
🎯 Plan of Attack: “P” Patrol Activated!
Before heading to the store, I made a mini mental list. What starts with P? 🤔
Let me tell you, my brain turned into a P-powered popcorn machine:
- Pen
- Pencil
- Pouch
- Peanuts
- Popcorn
- Pickles
- Perfume
- Plant
- Plaster
- Pajamas
So many Possibilities! 😅
(Also: People were positively puzzled watching me shout “P! P! P!” in the aisles.)
🛍️ The Haul – What ₹1000 Got Me
After serious P-hunting, here’s what made it into my shopping bag:
Item | Price (₹) | Reason |
---|---|---|
Pen (x2) | ₹20 | For writing love letters to pizza. 🍕 |
Pencil Box | ₹60 | Stylish AND starts with P. Bonus points. |
Peanuts | ₹30 | For snacking while pondering the universe. |
Pickle Jar | ₹90 | Because I’m spicy like that. 🥒🔥 |
Popcorn (ready-to-eat) | ₹50 | Movie night essential! |
Plant (tiny one!) | ₹150 | Adds oxygen AND positivity. 🌱 |
Perfume (mini) | ₹200 | So I smell like a rose… that starts with P. 😉 |
Plaster (Band-Aids) | ₹25 | For emotional wounds from leaving pastries behind. 😢 |
Pouch | ₹100 | To keep my remaining ₹325 safe. 💸 |
Pajamas (discounted!) | ₹275 | For post-shopping napping. Zzz… 💤 |
Total: ₹1000 ON. THE. DOT. 🔥
(Okay fine, I begged the shopkeeper for a ₹5 discount to fit the pajamas. Don’t judge.)
🤡 Funny Moments
- Shopkeeper: “Why are you only buying things with P?”
- Me: “Because life is too short to mess with Q-R-S.” 😎
- I almost cried when I walked past Pizza. Couldn’t afford it. And also… rules. 😭
- Accidentally asked someone where to find “premium paper plates with paisley print” and they looked at me like I was planning a wedding for a peacock. 🦚
🧠 What I Learned (Yes, I actually learned something)
- Budgeting is hard when your brain is alphabet-locked.
- You can get creative (and a bit crazy) when you have limits!
- The letter P is powerful. Never underestimate the power of the P. 💪🅿️
- Always carry an extra ₹10. Pajamas are worth it.
🎬 Final Thoughts
So, CAN you shop with ₹1000 only buying P-letter items?
YES.
Should you?
Well… only if you like peanuts, pickle jars, and public confusion. 😂
But it was a blast! I highly recommend trying a weird challenge like this—it turns boring shopping into a full-on game show. 🛍️

What letter should I try next?
And what would YOU buy that starts with P?
Until next time, stay punny and purposeful!
