Hello curious minds and adventure seekers! π
Itβs your favorite duo β Pari and Priyanshi β reporting live from one of the most fun + nerdy days ever! πΈβ¨
We took a trip to the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum in Bangalore β aka the place where science gets cool, gravity gets questioned, and we almost got stuck in a mirror maze (long story, keep reading). π€
ποΈ What Is This Place?
Located in the heart of Namma Bengaluru, the Visvesvaraya Museum is named after Sir M. Visvesvaraya, one of India’s greatest engineers (aka a real brainiac π§ π‘). The museum is packed with fun, interactive exhibits on science, technology, space, machines, the human body, and more!
In short: Itβs like Hogwarts for science lovers. βοΈβ¨
π§ͺ First Stop: The βFUNβdamentals of Science
We started with the βFun Scienceβ gallery β and it totally lived up to the name.
π We played with mirrors that made us tall, short, and wobbly spaghetti-shaped
π’ Tried out spinning platforms and gravity tricks (RIP balance)
β‘ Zapped each other (safely!) with a static electricity generator
𧲠Learned how magnets work β no, it’s not magic, itβs physics. Kind of the same thing though. π
π§ββοΈ The Human Body Gallery β Pari Turned Doctor?
Okay, not really. But I did poke a giant model of a human brain and pretend to be a surgeon. π§ π
We learned about:
- The nervous system
- How the lungs breathe
- Why the heart goes dhak-dhak
- And what happens to your food after you eat it (Priyanshi said βEwwwβ at least 7 times)
Also, there was a giant nose that sneezes when you press a button. Who makes this stuff?! We love them. π
π Space Gallery β Astronaut Mode: ON π
If youβve ever wanted to feel like youβre floating in space (without actually floating in space), this is the place.
We checked out:
- Satellite models
- A simulated rocket launch
- Real-life stories of Indian space heroes like Kalpana Chawla and Rakesh Sharma
Pariβs highlight: Pretending to be an astronaut while spinning wildly in the gyroscope simulator
Priyanshiβs highlight: βNot throwing upβ during said simulator. π
π€ Machines, Engines & Robots β Engineering Is Awesome
We explored rooms filled with:
- Giant levers and pulleys
- Engines that move when you press buttons
- Mini robot arms and old-school computers
We may or may not have pressed every single button in the room. You’re welcome, science.
π Bonus Fun: Mirror Maze & Science Playground
Yes, there’s an actual outdoor play area with science-based games.
And yes, we got lost in the mirror maze. It was like walking through a thousand versions of ourselves. Very confusing. Very Instagram-worthy. πΈ
π΄ Final Stop: Snack Break (Obviously)
After learning enough science to feel like Einsteinβs nieces, we grabbed a quick bite at the museum cafΓ©, laughed about our mirror maze panic, and declared this one of our best days ever. π
π‘ What We Learned:
- Science is NOT boring. (Especially when youβre pressing buttons.)
- Learning is way more fun when you can see, touch, and try.
- Pari and Priyanshi should not be trusted in a mirror maze unsupervised. π
- Engineers and scientists are rockstars β literally shaping the world around us.
π§ Wanna Visit Too?
π Location: Kasturba Road, Bangalore
β° Open: 10 AM β 6 PM (except on public holidays)
ποΈ Tickets: Super affordable! Totally worth it.
π¬ Final Words from Pari & Priyanshi:
If you ever visit Bangalore, you must add the Visvesvaraya Museum to your list. Whether you’re 6 or 60, youβll find something to blow your mind β and maybe even inspire your inner genius.
Until our next adventure…
Stay curious, stay awesome!
