Hello curious minds and adventure seekers! ๐
Itโs your favorite duo โ Pari and Priyanshi โ reporting live from one of the most fun + nerdy days ever! ๐ธโจ
We took a trip to the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum in Bangalore โ aka the place where science gets cool, gravity gets questioned, and we almost got stuck in a mirror maze (long story, keep reading). ๐คญ
๐๏ธ What Is This Place?
Located in the heart of Namma Bengaluru, the Visvesvaraya Museum is named after Sir M. Visvesvaraya, one of India’s greatest engineers (aka a real brainiac ๐ง ๐ก). The museum is packed with fun, interactive exhibits on science, technology, space, machines, the human body, and more!
In short: Itโs like Hogwarts for science lovers. โ๏ธโจ
๐งช First Stop: The โFUNโdamentals of Science
We started with the โFun Scienceโ gallery โ and it totally lived up to the name.
๐ We played with mirrors that made us tall, short, and wobbly spaghetti-shaped
๐ข Tried out spinning platforms and gravity tricks (RIP balance)
โก Zapped each other (safely!) with a static electricity generator
๐งฒ Learned how magnets work โ no, it’s not magic, itโs physics. Kind of the same thing though. ๐
๐งโโ๏ธ The Human Body Gallery โ Pari Turned Doctor?
Okay, not really. But I did poke a giant model of a human brain and pretend to be a surgeon. ๐ง ๐
We learned about:
- The nervous system
- How the lungs breathe
- Why the heart goes dhak-dhak
- And what happens to your food after you eat it (Priyanshi said โEwwwโ at least 7 times)
Also, there was a giant nose that sneezes when you press a button. Who makes this stuff?! We love them. ๐
๐ Space Gallery โ Astronaut Mode: ON ๐
If youโve ever wanted to feel like youโre floating in space (without actually floating in space), this is the place.
We checked out:
- Satellite models
- A simulated rocket launch
- Real-life stories of Indian space heroes like Kalpana Chawla and Rakesh Sharma
Pariโs highlight: Pretending to be an astronaut while spinning wildly in the gyroscope simulator
Priyanshiโs highlight: โNot throwing upโ during said simulator. ๐
๐ค Machines, Engines & Robots โ Engineering Is Awesome
We explored rooms filled with:
- Giant levers and pulleys
- Engines that move when you press buttons
- Mini robot arms and old-school computers
We may or may not have pressed every single button in the room. You’re welcome, science.
๐ Bonus Fun: Mirror Maze & Science Playground
Yes, there’s an actual outdoor play area with science-based games.
And yes, we got lost in the mirror maze. It was like walking through a thousand versions of ourselves. Very confusing. Very Instagram-worthy. ๐ธ
๐ด Final Stop: Snack Break (Obviously)
After learning enough science to feel like Einsteinโs nieces, we grabbed a quick bite at the museum cafรฉ, laughed about our mirror maze panic, and declared this one of our best days ever. ๐
๐ก What We Learned:
- Science is NOT boring. (Especially when youโre pressing buttons.)
- Learning is way more fun when you can see, touch, and try.
- Pari and Priyanshi should not be trusted in a mirror maze unsupervised. ๐
- Engineers and scientists are rockstars โ literally shaping the world around us.
๐ง Wanna Visit Too?
๐ Location: Kasturba Road, Bangalore
โฐ Open: 10 AM โ 6 PM (except on public holidays)
๐๏ธ Tickets: Super affordable! Totally worth it.
๐ฌ Final Words from Pari & Priyanshi:
If you ever visit Bangalore, you must add the Visvesvaraya Museum to your list. Whether you’re 6 or 60, youโll find something to blow your mind โ and maybe even inspire your inner genius.
Until our next adventure…
Stay curious, stay awesome!
