Diwali, the festival of lights, joy, and togetherness, is one of the most special times of the year in India. In 2020, despite the challenges the world faced, the spirit of Diwali shone brighter than ever! At Learn With Pari, we want to share how we celebrated Diwali 2020 — filled with lights, love, and a lot of colorful moments.
✨ The Festival of Lights Like No Other
Diwali is a celebration of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Homes sparkle with rows of diyas (small oil lamps), colorful rangoli patterns decorate doorsteps, and families come together to share sweets and stories.
In 2020, the celebrations were a little different due to safety precautions, but the warmth and joy remained strong.
🪔 Our Diwali Preparations
We started by cleaning and decorating our home to welcome Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Bright marigold flowers and twinkling fairy lights added a magical glow.
We also made beautiful rangoli designs with colored powders and flower petals — each pattern a symbol of happiness and good fortune.
🍬 Sweets, Snacks, and Smiles
No Diwali is complete without delicious treats! We prepared traditional sweets like ladoos, barfis, and jalebis. Everyone in the family pitched in, making the kitchen a lively place full of laughter and mouth-watering aromas.
Sharing these sweets with neighbors and friends, even if from a distance, kept the festive spirit alive.
🎆 Safe and Sparkling Celebrations
Fireworks are a big part of Diwali, lighting up the night sky with bursts of color. This year, many families chose to celebrate responsibly by limiting fireworks and focusing on eco-friendly options to keep our environment safe.
Instead, we enjoyed a special diya-lighting ceremony in the evening, creating a calm and beautiful atmosphere at home.
🧡 What Diwali Means to Us
Even with social distancing, Diwali 2020 reminded us how important family, kindness, and hope are. It was a time to reflect on the year’s challenges and look forward to new beginnings.
The lights we lit symbolized our hopes for a brighter, happier future — and a reminder that even in tough times, togetherness and positivity can shine through.
🌟 Wishing You a Joyous Diwali!
From all of us at Learn With Pari, we wish you and your family a Happy Diwali filled with light, love, and endless happiness. May this festival bring you success, good health, and wonderful memories.
Stay safe, keep spreading joy, and let the light of Diwali brighten your heart every day!
