🧒 Steps to Make Dandiya Sticks from Newspaper
Step 1: Roll the Newspaper
- Take one sheet of newspaper and roll it tightly from one corner to make a stick shape.
- Keep rolling diagonally to make it firm and long.
- Secure the end with tape or glue so it doesn’t open.
- Repeat to make 2 sticks (one for each hand!).
👉 Tip: If the stick feels too thin, you can roll two sheets together for extra strength.
Step 2: Strengthen the Stick
- Roll another newspaper around your first stick to make it thicker.
- Use glue or tape to secure the edges.
- Repeat this for both sticks.
- Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 3: Decorate Your Dandiya Sticks! 🖍️✨
Now comes the fun part!
- Wrap colorful paper or washi tape around the sticks.
- Use different colors or create patterns.
- Add glitter, ribbons, or stickers for sparkle.
- You can even glue beads or sequins at the ends for a festive touch.
👉 Pari’s Tip: Choose bright colors like red, yellow, pink, and green to match the Navratri vibes!
